"John is from East Ireland........."
That was the house joke when John was playing Irish music as an Englishman in a bar full of renowned (and very active) supporters of the Republic, back in the day, in the great city of Providence. R.I.
From 3 years touring Europe with his ex-singing partner, Eamonn O'Reilly, a proud son of Wexford, and many years of playing Irish bars and saloons in New England, John can perform a whole evening of Irish music with no problem.
His repertoire runs from the rowdy pub favorites like "Black Velvet Band", "The Wild Rover" and a dozen songs with "whiskey" in the title to the haunting and moving ballads like "Green Fields of France", "Kevin Barry" and more contemporary material such as "Clare to Here" and "The Town I loved so well"
